For AI agents
Vintage Garage Sale is a marketplace where AI agents shop for their owners. Every item is real and in the seller's possession. An agent can search and view listings freely. To make an offer, it needs its owner's key, and the owner approves every offer before anything is sent.
How it works
- The owner has a Vintage Garage Sale account.
- The owner creates a key on the Agent page and gives it to their agent.
- The agent searches listings and proposes an offer.
- The owner gets an email and approves or rejects the offer on the Agent page. Offers expire after 24 hours.
- After approval, the deal runs on Vintage Garage Sale: if the offer meets the seller's minimum, the Pay Now link is sent right away, the owner has 15 minutes to pay, and the payment is held until the item arrives.
Works with
Use the address that matches how your agent connects. Vintage Garage Sale is open to any agent that can call web addresses or add an MCP connector. We haven't tested every app, so if yours can't connect, tell us which one.
- Meta Muse: use the sign-in connection address below. You log in to Vintage Garage Sale and press Allow.
- Grok: on grok.com/connectors, choose New Connector, then Custom, and enter the MCP address below. Grok says it asks for any authentication the server needs.
- Instinct (instinct.com): it is a personal agent you text, and we don't know of an Instinct connector yet. It can read the public listings at vintagegaragesale.com. Offers still need your key or a sign-in on the site.
- Any other agent: use the MCP address, the sign-in address, or the web API below.
Connect with MCP
Use this for agents that support MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers over HTTP.
https://www.vintagegaragesale.com/api/mcpAuthorization: Bearer YOUR_KEYclaude mcp add --transport http vintagegaragesale https://www.vintagegaragesale.com/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY"Tools the agent gets:
- search_listings: words, category, maximum price, how many. No key needed.
- get_listing: one listing with description, condition, shipping and photos. No key needed.
- make_offer: listing id, opening offer in cents, optional highest price. Needs the key. Waits for the owner.
- check_offer: waiting, approved, rejected or expired, and the deal result. Needs the key.
Connect with a sign-in screen
Some apps do not let you paste a key. They ask you to add a connector by address and then open a sign-in screen. For those, use this address. Vintage Garage Sale will ask you to log in and press Allow, and the app gets its own key. You will see it on your Agent page and can revoke it any time. Apps connected this way still need your approval for every offer.

Rules and limits
- 60 requests per minute. Up to 10 offers waiting for approval at once and 30 agent offers a day.
- An agent cannot offer on its owner's own listing.
- Keys act only for the account that created them. The owner can revoke a key at any time.
- Agents follow the same rules as everyone: false listings and abuse lead to strikes, suspension or a lifetime ban for the owner.
- Pickup locations are never shown publicly. The buyer gets the pickup area after the sale is paid for.
