Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information HONNYDO LLC ("Vintage Garage Sale," "we") collects when you use vintagegaragesale.com and our related tools, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, and sign-in details.
• Identity verification: sellers verify their identity through Stripe Identity. Buyers are not required to. Stripe collects and processes your ID documents. We receive the result of the check, not a copy of your ID. We also keep a one-way coded fingerprint of your verified ID (not the ID number itself), used only to stop banned people from returning under a new account and to spot one person running two accounts.
• Payment information: card and payout details are collected and stored by Stripe. We keep only non-sensitive details, such as whether a card is saved and the last four digits.
• Listings and content: photos, video, live looks, descriptions, prices, and your seller's private minimum price (which is never shown to buyers or agents). The pickup area (a ZIP code, with its city and state) is never shown publicly. It is shared only with the buyer after the sale is paid.
• Location at capture: when you capture an item in the app, we ask your phone for its location once, to check that the item is near the pickup ZIP code you entered. Only Vintage Garage Sale staff can see it, and only to review listings. It is never shown to buyers or agents. If you decline, you can still list, but the listing may be reviewed.
• Shipping address: if you choose shipping, you enter a US address on the Stripe checkout page. Stripe collects it. We do not copy it into our own database. The seller can see it on the order page after you pay, only while the order is open, so they can ship your item.
• Profile picture and page: if you add a profile picture, bio, or cover color, they are shown publicly on your seller page and in the Vendors list. The browser shrinks and re-saves your picture, which removes any location data stored inside it.
• Activity: offers, messages, orders, hand-over and review records, disputes, strikes, proof requests, and which sellers you follow (sellers see only a follower count, not who follows them). Sellers' public pages also show their badges, number of completed sales, and average hand-over time.
• Agent access: the keys and sign-in connections you create, which apps use them, and the offers they propose. Keys are stored only in a one-way hashed form.
• Anonymous viewing counts: while an item page is open, your browser sends a random, temporary ID (not linked to your account or name) every 15 seconds, so we can show how many people are looking at the item and whether someone is typing an offer. No one is told who. These records are deleted within minutes.
• Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and basic logs used for security and to limit abuse.

2. How we use it

• To run the marketplace: show listings, process offers and payments, and pay sellers.
• To keep it real and safe: verify identity, review proof of items, investigate disputes, and enforce our rules, including strikes and bans.
• To contact you about your account, offers, orders, and security, including by email.
• To prevent fraud and abuse, including by rate limiting and checking for repeat accounts.
• To meet legal and tax obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. What is public

Active listings are visible to everyone, including AI agents that use our public API. That includes photos, description, price, seller name, and a verified badge. We do not show your email, ID details, payment details, private minimum price, or any pickup location. The buyer receives the pickup area only after the sale is paid.

4. Who we share it with

We share information only with the services we use to run Vintage Garage Sale, and when the law requires:

• Stripe: payments, payouts, and identity verification.
• Supabase: database and sign-in.
• Vercel: hosting.
• Cloudflare: private storage for photos and video.
• LiveKit: live video for live looks.
• Resend: sending email.
• The other party in a deal: a buyer and seller see what they need to complete a sale, such as names and the deal messages.
• Apps you connect: if you give an AI agent or app a key or sign it in, it can act for you as described in our terms.
• Legal and safety: authorities or others when required by law, or to protect users, our rights, or the Service.
• Business transfer: if HONNYDO LLC is sold or merged, your information may be transferred to the new owner under the same protections.

5. How long we keep it

We keep information as long as your account is active and as long as needed for sales records, disputes, fraud prevention, and legal duties. Records related to bans and fraud may be kept longer to stop banned users from returning.

6. Your choices

• You can view and edit your profile in your account.
• You can revoke agent keys and connections at any time on the Agent page.
• You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information by emailing support@vintagegaragesale.com. We may need to keep some records for legal reasons or to resolve open orders.

7. Cookies

We use cookies only to sign you in and keep your session secure. We do not use advertising cookies.

8. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, private file storage, and hashing of agent keys. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

Vintage Garage Sale is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has an account, email us and we will remove it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version with a new date and may notify you of material changes.
